How to do your own Hibachi Grill Meal at home..kind of..

Have you ever been to a Hibachi Grill? I have been twice in my life. I loved it every time. I mean the show is cool, but dang, it can be expensive. The whole thing, the veggies, chicken, and rice is simple enough to make, but the one thing I always missed was the Yum-yum sauce. Yum-yum sauce is the orange sauce that comes on the side, usually with a ginger sauce, but since I hate ginger I did not make that.  Anyway, here is the recipe:

What you will need:
Fried Rice - I've made this for you before
Teriyaki chicken - basically take some chicken, add some sauce, and cook it. Simple enough.
Mixed veggies normally zucchini, squash, and mushrooms - just saute this until fully cooked.
Yum -yum sauce :
1 c. mayo
3 tbsp sugar
3 tbsp rice vinegar
2 tbsp melted butter
1/4 tsp of paprika
3/8 tsp of garlic powder (about a 1/2 tsp which is what I do)
basically take all of those things and mix together until it is smooth and let it sit in the fridge for at least 30 minutes so the flavors will meld. Now put everything on the plate and either cover with sauce or dip your foods into it. It is delicious...you're welcome! Special thanks to test subject Brittany for giving me the yum-yum sauce recipe!

Doesn't that look yum-yum (get it!)

How to make New York Style Cheesecake

I've been lazy this month. I've been cooking; I've even made new items. But I have not written. It’s not you… it’s me. Now I have presented to you guys pumpkin cheesecake before. Which is yummy and amazing, however, the husband is not a fan of Pumpkin. Actually it’s his least favorite I think. I mean what is wrong with him! It’s my favorite (polar opposites we are) anyway. He’s been in the mood for cheesecake as of late. So I thought okay, I can make him a New York style cheesecake it’s supposedly his favorite (honestly he like’s plain old cheesecake).

What you will need:
Crust:
15 graham crackers (crushed!) (you could use really any kind of cookie)
2 tbsp of butter
Cheesecake:
4  8oz packages of cream cheese – room temperature
1 1/2 c. of white sugar
3/4 c. of milk
4 eggs
1 c. of sour cream
1 tbsp vanilla extract
1/4 c. of flour

Okay now grab a spring form pan (if you don’t have one I have no clue what to use in place of it) and take your crushed crackers and butter and mix them and place them in the bottom of the pan. Just the bottom now! Preheat the oven to 350 and start on everything else. Cream the cheese and sugar together until fully incorporated. Then add the milk. When it is fully incorporated add eggs one at a time until fully mixed. Now add sour cream, vanilla, and flour and blend until smooth. Once finished with that pour it into your pan bake for 1 hour, turn off oven and leave in the oven with the door closed for 5 – 6 hours. This should prevent the top from cracking. Mine cracked anyway…liars! Then chill and eat the next day. Yeah this is not a quick thing by any means. But it is tasty! I hope you enjoyed this one! Peter did!
