Pie crust (still store bought)
2 c. Pecans
5 Tbsp. Butter
3/4 c. light corn syrup
2 tbsp Whiskey (I am using a bottle of a Tennessee brand with a 7 on it...hmmm)
2 Tsp of Vanilla
Go ahead and pre-heat the oven to 350 degrees and place your pie crust in the pie plate...crimp the edges..I hate making the crust edges pretty...so moving on. Toast your pecans at 350 for 10 -15 minutes, typically twelve is the lucky number...be careful and don't burn them. Grab a large bowl and melt your butter and once finished add all the ingredients into the bowl, mix and pour into crust. Place on another sheet pan..again unless you want to clean out the bottom of the oven...JUST PUT IT ON THE PAN!!! Now when it is done allow it to cool for at least two hours, then serve! Test subject Jon and I both agree that this is quite possibly the best tasting pecan pie we have ever had, even test subjects Grandma and Grandpa agreed!!
PUT IT ON THE PAN!!!
